Pelosi Presents Obama With Dark Chocolate Birthday Cake
WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS SF) - His birthday isn't until Sunday, but President Barack Obama received an early birthday surprise Wednesday during his caucus meeting with Congressional Democrats.
U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), known for her affinity for dark chocolate, presented Mr. Obama with a dark chocolate cake topped with the presidential seal and frosted with the words "Happy Birthday, Mr. President."
Congress will be on summer break on Mr. Obama's Aug. 4 birthdate, when he turns 52, so Pelosi decided to give him the cake and celebrate in advance.
