Mayer & Legend Puts Fans In Control For Online Webcast

(CBS SF) - Online concert series 'Live on Letterman' will feature some big names as a well as a number of new interactive additions.

Seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer mades his return to the Ed Sullivan Theater on Monday, August, 19th and acclaimed R&B singer John Legend takes the stage the following night.

Both Legend and Mayer are set to release new albums by the end of this year (preview Mayer's now) and will feature songs to highlight their upcoming releases like "Paper Doll" and Legend's "Made to Love" along with lengthy sets comprised of past favorites.

Paradise Valley marks Mayer's first album since undergoing throat surgery last year. As Mayer continues on his Born and Raised World Tour, the tour will both raise funds for and raise awareness about post-traumatic stress disorder in veterans. Mayer partnered with the Northern California Institute for Research and Education, a veteran's health research institute, who will get $1 from each ticket sold.

Audiences for the live stream will be able to have a say in the set-list as well. The live webcasts will allow viewers to vote for the final song of each performance and will also feature a number of other interactive components, such as giving the audience the ability to toggle between camera angles, capture and share photos through the "Share the Moment" feature, and play trivia games.

The performances will be available both live and on demand right here on the cbssfbayarea.com website as well as on liveonletterman.com.
