San Jose Teacher Arrested After 2,000 Child Porn Pictures Found

SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) -- Authorities say a San Jose elementary school substitute teacher has been arrested after more than 2,000 images of child pornography were found at his home.

Police discovered the images after serving a warrant at the home of 39-year-old Brian Westfall on Aug. 22.

Oak Grove School District Superintendent Jose Manzo says school officials learned of the arrest Thursday, when investigators went to Edenvale Elementary School to interview students.

Police said they were checking to make sure "there were no unreported incidents of lewd or inappropriate conduct," and they found none.

Police said Westfall worked for the Oak Grove district since 2006. Before that, he was employed with the YMCA at Simonds Elementary.

Westfall remains at the Santa Clara County Main Jail with a court appearance scheduled for Friday afternoon.
