Dangling Window-Washing Rig Secured On San Francisco High-Rise
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A street reopened in San Francisco's Financial District Friday morning after being closed beneath a window-washing scaffold that was hanging unsafely from a high-rise. That rig has since been secured, a fire official said.
The rig was reported hanging unsafely at 7:02 a.m. from the 41st floor of a building at 301 Clay St., according to the fire official.
As a precaution, police closed Battery Street between Sacramento and Clay streets and also shut down the 28th through 30th floors of the building, the fire official said.

San Francisco Municipal Railway buses on the 1-California and 41-Union routes were temporarily rerouted around the scene, Muni officials said.
