ATM Drilled Open, Robbed In San Francisco's Tenderloin

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco police were trying to find out who drilled open an ATM and stole the cash from inside it in the city's Tenderloin neighborhood Sunday morning.

The theft was reported at 6:18 a.m. in the 400 block of Taylor Street near O'Farrell Street.

The suspect or suspects drilled into the freestanding ATM and took the compartment that had cash inside, according to police.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning and no suspect information was immediately available.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
