SF Muni Light Rail Vehicle, Car Collide Near AT&T Park

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - One person was hospitalized after a collision between a San Francisco Municipal Railway light-rail vehicle and a car near AT&T Park Wednesday morning.

The collision was reported at 10:28 a.m. at Third and King streets, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.

A car turned left in front of an N-Judah light-rail vehicle and was hit by the LRV, Rose said.

Two people inside the car initially said they were injured, but only one was taken to a hospital, according to Rose. That person's injuries were not considered life-threatening, he said.

No one on the Muni train was hurt, he said.

Muni vehicles on the N-Judah and T-Third lines were switching back at Embarcadero and Harrison Street while authorities investigated the crash, Rose said shortly before 11 a.m.

Shuttle service was provided by Muni while service was disrupted.
