Victim Critically Injured In Shooting On Oakland's Piedmont Avenue

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A shooting on Oakland's Piedmont Avenue early Saturday morning left one person in critical condition, police said.

A short time after midnight, one or more suspects shot the victim in the 3700 block of Piedmont Avenue, according to Oakland police Officer J. Moore.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Moore said.

Police were unable to locate the suspects.

The shooting occurred about a block from where another victim was shot a week earlier, according to police.

No arrests have been made in connection with that shooting.
