Woman Plunges From O.co Coliseum 3rd Deck; Man Hurt Breaking Her Fall

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Authorities say a woman jumped from the third level deck of the Oakland Raiders' home stadium, injuring herself and a man who tried to catch her.

Stadium officials said the woman plunged about 45 feet after Sunday's game at O.co Coliseum. She and the man who was one level below were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Alameda County Sheriff's Sgt. J.D. Nelson said that the woman went to an area that is closed off to the public and leaped off the edge as people below urged her not to jump.

Nelson said the unidentified woman was taken to the hospital in "very critical" condition, and the man was in stable condition.
