SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Hours before their Tuesday, December 3rd show at the Swedish-American Hall inside Café du Nord in San Francisco, Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino of "A Great Big World" stopped by the Alice@97.3 studios.

The duo came to visit afternoon personality Jayn inside her office to chat a bit about their collaboration with a mega-star and perform two of their current chart-topping hits. "I'm head over heals" the radio jock screams.

Hot off their American Music Awards performance of "Say Something" with Christina Aguilera, the duo performed and impromptu version inside the confines of Jayn's tiny office. But as she always says about those who visit her, "It's all about Big Names in Small Spaces."

Ian and Chad talked about how "Say Something" has been performed for almost a year and eventually they got the call from Christina Aguilera's people if the duo would "open" to work with her on recording the song. When hearing the song the first time on the radio, Chad describes it as "…it definitely felt like time stopped."

For Ian and Chad, writing "Say Something" came during a low point in time. Ian describes the song as a healing song. He said "It's about letting go and realizing what you're worth." Chad adds that in the process of writing the song, it became therapeutic and the song itself helped them both get through this phase in their life.

Check out the video interview and two of their hits "Say Something"and "This Is The New Year."
