San Francisco Condom Company Launches Valentine's Day Delivery Service

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A San Francisco condom company has launched a delivery service for Valentine's Day couples and is promising the delivery by bike messenger in 60 minutes or less.

L. Condoms says the condom delivery service will cost $5 plus the cost of the condoms and will be available in select areas of San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The condoms will arrive discreetly packaged in an unlabeled black box, according to the company. The romantically-inclined can even add a bouquet of flowers to the delivery.

The company, founded by photojournalist Talia Frenkel, features what it calls 'female friendly' condoms made with natural latex and lube and without harmful additives.

Frankel, who has documented the scourge of HIV/AIDS in Africa, also has her company distribute one condom to a developing country for every condom sold.

The Valentine's Day delivery service is scheduled for 10 a.m. through 11 p.m.

L. says it plans to launch an app in the spring to expand the condom-delivery service to other cities.
