Man Caught Red-Handed Allegedly Burglarizing South SF Taqueria

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was arrested after being caught red-handed inside a South San Francisco taqueria he was allegedly trying to burglarize early Saturday morning, police said.

Julio David Matute-Pineda, 24, was arrested around 3 a.m. Saturday when officers found him inside La Tapatia taqueria at 411 Grand Ave., according to police.

An alarm activation led police to the scene, where they found the taqueria's door open. Officers found Matute-Pineda trying to force open an interior door that led deeper into the eatery, police said.

Business owners said Matute-Pineda was not an employee. He was taken to San Mateo County Jail and booked on suspicion of commercial burglary, police said.
