PACIFICA (CBS SF) — A woman’s body washed ashore at Linda Mar State Beach in Pacifica Friday afternoon, according to police and fire officials.

The body was reported at 4:30 p.m. at 5151 Cabrillo Highway, according to Police Chief Jim Tasa.

An adult woman’s body was pulled from the surf at the north end of the beach, and taken to the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office for further examination, Tasa said.

The cause of death remains undetermined, Tasa said.
