Another Day Of Near-Record Heat On Tap For Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Thursday will be the final day of our mini heat wave, with clouds and even the chance of rain in the North Bay moving in over the next several days.

"It is going to be hot again today, probably near record levels," said KPIX Meteorologist Lawrence Karnow. "Then we're going to see some big-time changes."

Karnow said we'll see widespread 90's again inland. Even San Francisco is seeing temperatures more than 20 degrees higher than normal the last few days, but it won't last past tonight.

"It looks like that sea breeze will kick in…in fact, it will probably be pretty grey along the coastline for the weekend," Karnow said. "(It will be) 20-15 degrees cooler over the weekend."

Karnow said showers could hit north of the Golden Gate Bridge as soon as Monday.
