LOS GATOS (CBS NEWS) – Los Gatos-based Netflix has renewed “Orange is the New Black” for a third season.

The video streaming service has greenlit another installment of the acclaimed series, its writers announced Monday via Twitter.

“OITNB” co-star Laura Prepon also broke the news on her Instagram page, sharing a photo of episode titles for the third season.

This past weekend, the show, which is set in a women’s prison, was named outstanding comedy series at the GLAAD Media Awards’ New York ceremony.

The second season of “Orange is the New Black” premieres June 6 on Netflix.
