Fremont Police Recover Dozens Of Stolen Bicycles, Seek Owners Via Facebook

FREMONT (CBS SF) -- Fremont police are working to reunite 26 found bicycles with the bikes' owners.

On April 24, police responded to a residence on the 39700 block of Costa Way to recover bicycles a previous tenant left behind.

Police said it is likely the bicycles were stolen.

The bicycles have been transported to the Fremont Police Department and pictures of the bicycles have been posted on the department's Facebook page.

The department is asking owners of recently stolen bicycles to visit facebook.com/FremontPoliceDepartment to view the bicycles and to contact Community Service Officer Jodi Goralczyk at JGoralczyk@fremont.gov if a stolen bicycle matches one held by the police department.
