Tiny Kitten Rescued From Wheel Well Of Car On Oakland Freeway

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - The California Highway Patrol's Oakland division says a small cat was spotted jumping into the wheel well of a car that was topped in traffic Monday morning.

The CHPs Freeway Service Patrol team  was able to pull the small cat from the car. The exact age of the kitten is not known, and it wasn't immediately clear how it wandered onto the roadway.

CHP says the unharmed cat was adopted by a passing motorist on the spot.

Photos from the CHP Facebook page show an FPS driver using a jack to remove the kitten from beneath the black sedan.
