Marvel's Stan Lee & Michael Rooker Talk Giants, 'Guardians' & Heroes

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Appearing over the weekend for "Heroes and Comics Night" at AT&T Park, comic book legend Stan Lee and star of Marvel Studios "Guardians of the Galaxy" Michael Rooker spoke to the "Hype-Man" Franco Finn about their new film.

Referring to his involvement to "Guardians of the Galaxy," Stan Lee said "The most important thing about it is, of course, my cameo."

"I have absolutely no idea what my scene has to do with the rest of the movie!" Lee adds jokingly.

In "Guardians of the Galaxy," Michael Rooker plays "Yondu" an original member of the "Guardians" in the comic books. However, Rooker will not have Yondu's signature red fin and loin cloth. In attending the many conventions and appearances with Stan Lee, Rooker has the upmost respect for the 91 year old icon. "...the one thing you do notice, he (Stan) doesn't stop!" Rooker said about working with Lee.

Giants fans and superhero fans were encouraged to dress up as their favorite comic book characters and special event ticket holders received a collector's edition "Courageous Catcherman" bobblehead. Each specially marked and "Hero Approved Certified" by Stan Lee. The first 7,500 fans 14 and under will receive Sergio Romo Super Hero Socks. Proceeds from special event tickets sold benefit local non-profits in the community. Stan Lee also threw out the ceremonial first pitch with closing pitcher, Sergio Romo playing catcher.
