Small Earthquake Rattles California Central Valley

SAN BENITO COUNTY (CBS SF) -- A small earthquake shook parts of San Benito and Monterey Counties in California's Central Valley Thursday afternoon.

The quake's magnitude measured 3.0 and was centered about 16 miles northeast of Soledad and about 20 miles southeast of Hollister, according the U.S. Geological Survey.

It struck Thursday at 4:35 p.m. No damage or injuries were reported.
