For fans of food and wine, as to be expected, there is plenty available for those attending the festival. Perhaps the highlight of the 10-day event is "A Taste of Napa," held on July 12 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. For $45, attendees can experience some of the best Napa Valley has to offer. 70 Napa Valley wineries, food artisans, chefs and craft breweries are participating. Cooking demonstrations will also be held that day.

The festival supports year-round educational and cultural initiatives throughout the Napa community. Organizers said the goal is to ensure the youth of Napa Valley have access to both the arts and arts education. Over the past three years, Festival del Sole has awarded more than $150,000 in grants to local nonprofits, schools and arts organizations.
