Charges Filed Against 2 Men Involved In Fight Outside AT&T Park That Left Woman Unconscious
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Charges have been filed against two men who were allegedly involved in a fight outside San Francisco's AT&T Park last week that left a woman unconscious, according to a San Francisco District Attorney's Office spokesman.
A 27-year-old Oakland woman was injured when she attempted to stop a fight around 5:50 p.m. Thursday on Second and King streets near the stadium where the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics had played that afternoon.
Anthony Rucker, 42, and Francisco Lopez, 32, were arrested in Sacramento following the attack.
Both are being held at San Francisco County Jail, according to San Francisco sheriff's officials.
They are expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon, according to District Attorney's Office spokesman Alex Bastian.
Rucker, who allegedly punched the woman, is being held on $200,000 bail on two counts of assault and two counts of battery. Lopez is in custody on $203,000 on one count each of assault and battery. An explanation for Lopez' specific bail amount was not immediately available.
The woman was punched after the two suspects got into an argument with the victims and punched a 28-year-old San Jose man in the face, according to police.
The woman tried to break up the fight and then was punched in the face and knocked unconscious, police said.
She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and was released Friday morning.
The punched man suffered chipped teeth in the attack, according to police.
Police said the suspects and victims did not know each other and the fight was not believed to be related to team rivalries or the game.
