Palo Alto Police Search For Man Photographing Woman In Public Restroom

PALO ALTO (BCN) — Police are searching for a man who photographed a woman in a Palo Alto public restroom Thursday.

The victim told police that the suspect entered the public bathroom at the Cubberley Community Center, located at 4000 Middlefield Road, and went into an adjacent empty stall after she had entered.

He then held a cellphone underneath the dividing wall in an attempt to photograph the victim, police said.

The woman then yelled at the suspect and he fled immediately. By the time the victim went outside, the suspect had run about 40 yards away. He has not been caught as of this afternoon, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white or Asian man in his twenties, standing between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He had straight, collar-length brown hair and wore a black zippered hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and brown hiking boots.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the 24-hour dispatcher at (650) 329-2413.
