Lightning Strike Brings Down Power Lines At Oakland Coliseum
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The O.co Coliseum in Oakland briefly lost power when it was struck by lightning early Tuesday morning, Oakland A's and PG&E officials said.
Lightning hit near the Coliseum at about 4:43 a.m. and brought down power lines, briefly shutting off power for the stadium, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said.

Power was quickly restored and no interruptions are anticipated for Tuesday evening's game between the A's and Houston Astros, A's spokesman Bob Rose said.
Five other PG&E customers lost power and their repairs are expected to be completed later Tuesday afternoon, Sarkissian said.
National Weather Service officials said there were at least 25 lightning strikes in the Bay Area Monday night and early this morning as scattered showers and thunderstorms moved through the region.
Sarkissian said that any time wires come down they should be treated as live and dangerous. She said anyone who sees downed wires should stay away and call 911 and PG&E.
