Campbell Police Investigate Pair Of Armed Robberies That May Be Connected
CAMPBELL (CBS SF) -- Campbell police are investigating if a involved in a shooting that left two injured and robbery early Sunday morning was responsible for a separate robbery that occurred shortly after.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Campbell and Union avenues around 12:25 a.m., police said.
Arriving officers found two victims shot in the parking lot of First Bank at 790 E. Campbell Ave., according to police.
The victims were taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s and standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has a thin build and short dark hair.
The suspect was last seen wearing a dark plaid shirt and fled in a dark-colored sedan.
While officers were investigating the shooting, police received a report of a robbery in the area of Second Street and Civic Center Drive, less than a mile away from the bank.
The victim was robbed at gunpoint by the suspect who is described as a Hispanic man either in his 20s or 30s and standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall. The suspect was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt, jeans and a jacket.
The robbery victim was not injured, according to police.
