HALF MOON BAY (CBS SF) — An Oakland man has been arrested in Nevada in connection with a carjacking case out of Half Moon Bay, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
Armando Mendoza, 20, was arrested by the Winnemucca Police Department on July 25 on a warrant for carjacking and has been extradited back to San Mateo County, sheriff’s office officials said in a statement.READ MORE: KPIX Reporters Remember Slain Security Guard Kevin Nishita; 'Just the Kindest Man'
Mendoza was allegedly involved in a Jan. 9 carjacking in the parking lot of the Hilltop Mobile Home Park in Half Moon Bay.

The victim was not injured in the incident.
