Search On For Robber Who Broke Bones Of 87-Year-Old Woman During Tenderloin Mugging

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Police are asking for the public's help finding a man who robbed and beat an elderly woman in the Tenderloin neighborhood earlier this month.

The 87-year-old victim was attacked on Leavenworth Street near O'Farrell St. around 9 p.m. on August 8th when she was knocked to the ground and dragged, causing multiple broken bones.

Police say the attacker was described as a black male, 40-50 years of age, 5'10-6'00 and tall with a skinny face. He was wearing a knit cap and a dark jacket that may have been leather.

The victim remained under medical care Thursday.
