Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Takes On A Villainous Role

(CBS SF) – As an actor and wrestler, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has played both hero and villain. When talks about who would play DC Comics' superhero Shazam or his arch-nemesis Black Adam came around, Johnson was given the opportunity to play either role. After two-weeks, the Hayward-native finally decided to play…the villain.

Johnson made his announcement through Twitter on Wednesday confirming that he will play Black Adam:

Nothing as been set in stone with the movie studio, however much talk swirled around the comic book universe with a possible 2016 film release along with the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie. So far, no producer, no director and no writer has been attached to the Shazam project.
