Facebook Cracking Down On Fake Names On User Profiles

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Facebook is cracking down on people using fake names in their profiles, and that's not sitting well with some of San Francisco's drag queens and transgender performers.

San Francisco's 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence' were locked out of their Facebook accounts over profile names.

"They're forcing you to log out and then log in and then change your name as it appears on your ID," Sister Roma said.

Roma says Facebook even went as far as deleting her personal messages when she and another sister were talking about the name-change rule.

"None of us are trying to hide. We're not trying to pretend to be somebody we're not," Sister Roma said.

The rule is nothing new, but the crackdown seems to be a recent development.
