LIVERMORE (CBS SF) — Two right lanes of westbound Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore remained blocked and at least one person has been injured after a big rig overturned Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Shortly before 8 a.m., the CHP received a report of an overturned tractor-trailer that had spilled lumber across westbound I-580, just west of Isabel Avenue near Livermore Municipal Airport, the CHP said.

A Sig-alert was issued at 8:13 a.m. and motorists were advised to avoid the area.

Paramedics transported at least one person to Sutter Health Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, the CHP said.

The CHP gave no estimated time for reopening the blocked lanes and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
