Fed Up 'SO Restaurant' Owner Closes Shop & Blames Customers

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – It is one of those things you don't see everyday. An owner furiously closes a restaurant and blames the customers for not liking the food. That's what the owner/chef of "SO Restaurant" in the SOMA did after getting into it with two customers.

One of the employees told Eater.com there were back-to-back incidents that happened on Friday where the chef got into an argument with the customers. One of the customers refused to pay the bill because the food was "too spicy" and the other began to curse at the chef.

In defense to the chef, the employee told Eater.com "He needed to cool off. He was frustrated and stressed out, and he's the cook, so we can't run the restaurant without him. We closed up early, and he put up the sign."

A bright yellow sign was placed on the window of the restaurant that read "We are Closed Because of YOU (customers)" The sign below also read "SO…*Yes We use MSG! SO...We don't believe in Organic food. And... don't give a sh** about gluten free"

The employee did say the owner/chef eventually calm down and opened the restaurant back up later that day.
