SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Senator Dianne Feinstein lamented the scandals plaguing the NFL Sunday morning.
“This has gone on too long. These teams have to set an example for the rest of society. Football is a major sport,” she said as she appeared on CBS’ ‘Face The Nation.’
The Senator, a 49ers fan said Defensive End Ray McDonald should be benched while awaiting trial for domestic abuse charges, and said the NFL needs to act more assertively.
“There has to be a strength in the league, and they have to project the values of what’s right and what’s wrong,” she said.
