SAN MATEO (CBS SF) — A 32-year-old man was arrested Friday for allegedly masturbating in front of teenage girls on two separate occasions and may be connected with a third similar incident, police said.

Belsasar Quiran was arrested after an on-duty police sergeant saw him in a car near the Police Department’s parking lot around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Quiran was in a car that matched the description of a suspect vehicle in a lewd act reported on Sept. 11 near San Mateo High School, where he allegedly masturbated while driving as he followed a 15-year-old girl
walking near the campus, police said.

He is also suspected of following a group of teenage girls on Friday at Woodlake Shopping Center, a block north of San Mateo High School, where he followed them in his car while masturbating, according to police.

Detectives are working to determine if Quiran is connected to a third incident reported near a San Mateo Caltrain station on Friday around 7:45 p.m. when a man was seen masturbating, police said.

Quiran, a San Mateo resident, was arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of the lewd acts, police said.
