SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – The 49ers face the Rams on KPIX 5 in St. Louis Monday night, a game John Madden says San Francisco should win easily.

“I expect the 49ers to go in there and not pay any attention to the Rams and just blow them out,” Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. “And that’s what they have to do. You can talk all this stuff, ‘Well you know, Jeff Fisher the coach plays them tough, they have a tough time there in St. Louis, it’s a divisional game….’ They have an opportunity now, with Seattle having lost two, to really take this division over.”

The Arizona Cardinals lead the division with a 4-1 record, followed by the 3-2 49ers and Seahawks and the 1-3 Rams.

“You have to win those games that you’re supposed to win,” Madden said. “No matter how you break it down, the Rams are the worst team in the division… You can’t overlook a team like this, but you have to go in and just tromp them. I mean you just have to go in and take over right from the get-go.”
