CHP Arrests Man Accused Of Filming Bikers Harassing Officer On I-680 In Milpitas
MILPITAS (CBS SF) - A YouTube video of bikers popping wheelies and shooing CHP officers on on Highway 680 in Milpitas has led to the arrest of one man, and officers say that's just the start.
The California Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Guruardas Singh Khalsa was the one man you can't see in the viral video, which has been viewed more than 1.5 million times. He was allegedly filming the stunts carried out in broad daylight by about 50 motorcycle riders. Khalsa was arrested Wednesday in Brentwood on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact and delaying or obstructing an officer.
Officers said that posting is what led to an arrest. They are now obtaining additional search warrants in connection with the stunts.
"We have every belief that Mr. Khalsa is the videographer and the one taunting the officer and refusing to pull over," said CHP Captain Les Bishop, who expects more arrests. "Just know, that while apprehension may not be immediate, but it is likely imminent."

In addition to wheelies and other high-speed stunts, the video of the daytime freeway takeover of Interstate 680 on Oct. 11 shows a rider approach a CHP officer and motion for him to go away.
In the clip, the officer pulls ahead, and the motorcyclist waves goodbye as another rider puts a fist in the air.
