Revelers, Mayhem In San Francisco Streets After Giants' World Series Win
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco city streets were overtaken by large crowds celebrating the San Francisco Giants' World Series victory against the Kansas City Royals Wednesday night.
Party-goers posted photos on Twitter documenting scenes of mayhem, like this one of crowds jumping on top of a Muni bus on Market Street.
Police were decked out in riot gear, but say for the most part. people were behaving.
But the celebration turned ugly after a gunshot victim walked into San Francisco General Hospital in what appears to be the second confirmed shooting Wednesday evening, according to police.
The victim, who is expected to survive his injuries, said he was shot in the Mission District.
A previous shooting was reported at 21st and Valencia earlier Wednesday evening as well. That victim was injured in the arm and is also expected to survive.
A man was also stabbed multiple times in San Francisco's Mission District during the rowdy celebrations.
Police, who have yet to tally how many people in total were arrested, say the violence was less than previous World Series wins.

The widespread rowdy celebrations have also caused most bus service to be suspended in San Francisco throughout the city and blocked traffic on streets including Market and Mission streets, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority.
As of Thursday morning, regular bus service has resumed.
