Crews Rescue Worker Stuck 22 Stories Up In Downtown San Jose Construction Site

SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) – A worker at a Downtown San Jose building under construction was rescued after becoming stuck hundreds of feet up inside a construction elevator Thursday night.

The rescue took place at an apartment building under construction at Santa Clara Street and South Market Street around 6:00 p.m. The worker was stuck 22 stories up in the elevator, also known as a hoist.

Crews said the worker was not injured. The incident is under investigation.
