Raiders-49ers Becomes Least Affordable Bay Area NFL Ticket This Season

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - You may have bypassed season tickets to the 49ers this season thinking you could get the best deal on seeing the Niners when they play in Oakland. If you waited until the seats were on the secondary market, you were wrong.

As of Friday, the cheapest seats to the sold out Sunday game at O.co Coliseum are 153 bucks on Stubhub. That's for a seat in the 300 section that usually sells for $35 as a single game price, less if you buy season tickets. On the TicketMaster exchange, seats were available for $121, plus a $20 in convenience fees. By comparison, you could by a seat to the final Raiders home game against the bills for less than $30 on the StubHub website. They are also still available through the team.

This isn't a complete shocker because both fanbases live near the stadium, but still, the Coliseum is widely considered the worst stadium in the league and it's fetching a much bigger resale bump than any of the games at Levi's Stadium.

That $153 asking prices is more than you would have had to pay on the secondary market to attend any game at Levi's Stadium this season, depending on when you timed the purchase. Prices for last week's marquee game against the rival Seahawks fell below $100 online several days before the game. That's less than face value paid by single game buyers and even season ticket-holders. A similar pattern emerged before the Levi's opener against the Bears.

The highest end luxury seats were listed for $1200. But more reasonable offers were in the $300-$400 range, comparable to what you might pay for a game at Levi's.

The game kicks off Sunday at 1:25. The Raiders say extra police will be on hand to make sure fans don't get too rowdy.
