Rams Owner Reportedly Planning NFL Stadium In Los Angeles Area

INGLEWOOD (CBS SF) - Those who fear the Raiders will eventually return to Los Angeles may like the sound of this: the Rams may beat them to it.

Saint Louis Rams Owner Stan Kroenke reportedly wants to build a 80,000 stadium in Inglewood, at the site of the old Hollywood Park horse race track, reports the LA Times.

Kroenke bought 60 acers of land adjacent to the old Forum last year.

It would be a homecoming for the Rams, who played in Southern California for nearly fifty years before moving to Saint Louis in 1994.

The Raiders - who left Los Angeles to return to Oakland that same year - have reportedly been looking for a new home, with San Antonio and Los Angeles rumored as future homes for the Silver & Black.

It's not immediately clear if the potential stadium deal would increase or decrease the likelihood of the Raiders leaving the Bay Area.
