Tech Companies Want To Use Your Face & Heartbeat To Access Accounts

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Your face or heartbeat could be the key to a future without remembering passwords and PIN numbers.

Tech companies are now working on more ways for people to use their own bodies to sign into accounts and make payments.

For example, Intel's True Key uses facial recognition to unlock devices; it then automatically fills in passwords.

Nymi has developed a band that can identify a person through their heartbeat.

"It's the unique characteristics that are within your ECG that's what we use to actually create our algorithm. That's what we use to create the digital signature," said Shawn Chance of Nymi.
