John Madden Isn't Betting On Next 'Madden NFL' Prediction Coming True

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- A simulation run through Madden NFL 15 not only predicted the winner of the Super Bowl on the Friday before the game, it predicted the right score, had the right player scoring the winning touchdown and had the New England Patriots coming back from 10 points down to do it.

Getting all of that right would have won you a lot of money in Las Vegas. So is John Madden bragging about the game that carries his name Monday morning? Not exactly.

"The only danger is you start to believe that stuff and there's not reason to watch the game," Madden said during his daily call in to the KCBS morning crew.

Madden said Sunday's game was his favorite ever as a fan, but he didn't put money down based on what the Electronic Arts video game predicted.

"You can't say: it happened before, therefore it going to happen again so whatever the game says, then I'm going to put all my money on it--then you're broke," said the former Raiders coach.

Madden says he didn't move during the game.

"There wasn't a point where you knew it was over," he said. "You never thought 'well, that's where it is'...it caught me early and kept me the whole time."
