Caught On Video: SF Cab Passenger In Pink Tie Attacks Driver On Ride Home From Valentine's Day

DALY CITY (KPIX 5) – Police in Daly City have released video of a taxicab driver being assaulted by his passenger, after he refused to pay his fare.

The assault happened early on the morning of February 15th, according to police.

"He just started punching and kicking him in his face, resulting in major facial injuries," Sgt. Ignacio Reyes of the Daly City Police told KPIX 5.

According to police, the suspect hailed the cab at Grant and Sutter in San Francisco and told the driver to take him near the Cow Palace.

Once he got there, police said the suspect jumped out of the cab and refused to pay.

"That's when the cab driver confronted him, asking him to pay for his fare," Reyes said. The suspect responded with blows and punches, all caught on the cabbie's dash cam video.
