San Francisco Police Searching For Man Who Tried To Lure 10-Year-Old Into His Car

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – San Francisco police are asking for the public's help in finding a suspicious person, who attempted to lure a 10-year-old student into his car.

Police said the incident occurred on March 6 at about 5:00 p.m. The student was waiting for the bus at a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Shelter on the northeast corner of Carl Street and Cole Street.

The student was approached by a car and told police the driver attempted to verbally coax him into the vehicle four times. The student declined and went to a nearby restaurant to get away from the driver, who was the lone occupant in the car.

Police said the driver is described as a white adult male, 30-40 years of age, medium height and weight, with black slicked back hair, and 3-4 days of facial growth.

The person was wearing a black or brown 3/4 sleeved shirt and spoke with an accent.

The car is described as a shiny black Toyota Yaris or Honda Fit type of vehicle with 4 doors. Police said they would like to identify and interview the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (415) 242-3088.
