Marin Man Who Went Missing In Yosemite National Park For 2 Days Found Safe

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS SF) — A 20-year-old Marin County man missing for two days in Yosemite National Park has been found alive, officials said.

Park spokesman Scott Gediman tells KCBS that the Michael Dahl was located by some visitors at around 11 a.m. in the Sunnyside Bench area.  He apparently suffered some sort of head injury, but appears to be okay.

Dahl was visiting the park as part of a large group from UC Santa Barbara. He was reported missing by friend at around 10 a.m. Saturday after the group hiked around the lower Yosemite Falls area.

Gediman says Dahl was loaded into an ambulance and is not receiving treatment for his injuries.

He says 4 million people visit Yosemite Park each year and that it's important to take precautions when out and about enjoying the wilderness.
