Which Is San Francisco's Safest Neighborhood?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man looking to relocate in San Francisco compiled a list of the city's safest (and most unsafe) neighborhoods.

The neighborhoods are ranked according to the number of crimes within a half-mile radius.  Rankable blogger Gordon C. included all types of crimes, "which includes vehicle theft, burglary, robbery, vandalism, sex crimes, DUIs, and more."

Diamond Heights topped the list as the city's safest 'hood, with just 11 crimes per half-mile radius.

Maybe not so surprising is the Tenderloin neighborhood's ranking on the list as the least safe. The Tenderloin, which landed the 26th spot on the list had nearly three times the crimes reported than the South of Market neighborhood, which ranked 25th on the list with 213 crimes per half-mile radius.
