2014 Rock 'n' Roll San Francisco Transamerica Half Marathon Course Tour by Rock 'n' Roll Running Series on YouTube

The Third Annual Transamerica Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon San Francisco is this Sunday, March 29, starting at 6:30 a.m. It is a rare opportunity to Run Across the Landmark Golden Gate Bridge, making this Half Marathon a "bucket list race" for runners all over the world! Trust me, this is revered as on the "Top Runs In America."

The scenic 13.1-mile course highlights San Francisco's most famous sites, taking participants along the Great Highway with ocean views, through the Presidio, back-and-forth across the Golden Gate Bridge and along Crissy Field then ending in the heart of the city on the steps of City Hall. More than 10,000 Runners are Expected to Participate with runners traveling from 38 countries and 48 states.

It's all About Fitness and Fun! The course is lined with high-energy entertainment including live local bands performing and thousands of spectators.

Finish Line Festival Concert – In true Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series fashion, the race culminates with a finish line festival including a headliner concert by the popular band 'American Authors.' The band will rock the Civic Center Plaza helping participants celebrate the day's accomplishments with their chart-topping hit "Best Day of My Life," among others. By the way, the concert is FREE and open to the public!

Friday and Saturday is the Fitness Expo. This is where you may still register for the run and learn all you need to know about running a future race! Last year while I was there, I ran into San Francisco 49er Legend, Roger Craig. Roger is now a seasoned Half Marathon runner, and is FAST! In the event you are running or cheering on the athletes, here is the schedule of the events!
