Prices For WrestleMania Tickets Dropping On Secondary Market As Event Nears

Provided by TiqIQ

Each year, WrestleMania is billed to be bigger and better than the last. From the match card to the venue to the celebrities in attendance, WWE always attempts to outdo itself. As WrestleMania 31 heads to Levi’s Stadium this Sunday, all of those things will hold true. However, ticket prices on the secondary market have continued to fall over the past few weeks and are at their lowest point yet, just over 48 hours away from its start.

According to TiqIQ, the average price for WrestleMania 31 tickets is currently $273.31 on the secondary market. The price had peaked at an average of $475.65 at the beginning of March, but has dropped as many fans have gone to purchase tickets and the quantity available on the secondary market has dropped as well. Fans who have waited, or were on the fence about purchasing WrestleMania tickets, will see favorable prices as the event draws near. The get-in price for the event has dropped from $96 to $78 over the past two days alone.

Even as the prices continue to drop, WrestleMania 31 will be significantly more expensive than WrestleMania XXX at the Superdome in New Orleans last year. The average price for WrestleMania tickets was $159.33 with a get-in price of only $13, the lowest price TiqIQ has tracked over the past five years.

With the drop below the $300 average, this year’s WrestleMania now is the third most expensive since 2010. WrestleMania XXIX at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey held the highest average at $396.75, while WrestleMania XVIII at Sun Life Stadium in Miami had an average price of $339.56.

For many fans, one of the highlights of WrestleMania is not even the event itself. It’s the episode of RAW the following night. Usually in an arena nearby the WrestleMania host site, the post-Mania RAW typically has one of the loudest WWE crowds of the year. Surprises are also usually abound the night after. In 2012, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE and in 2013, Dolph Ziggler cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase to win the World Heavyweight Championship. RAW will be held at the SAP Center in San Jose on Monday night. The average price is currently $121.76 with a get-in price of $56. Both The Undertaker and Sting are scheduled to appear.

Whether its The Showcase of Immortals or the RAW the following night, WrestleMania weekend is always the biggest time on the professional wrestling calendar. As ticket prices continue to drop, fans could be finding a great deal for what is sure to be a spectacular show.
