Images Reveal Facelift Warriors Have Planned For San Francisco's Mission Bay Neighborhood

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - San Francisco's Mission Bay has been a hot bed of development for more than a decade, but with the Golden State Warriors moving into town, the area is about to hit the big leagues.

The team announced plans for a bay-adjacent arena last year, complete with retail and residential space. Now we're getting a better look at how the related construction will revamp the area just to the south of AT&T Park.

As the San Francisco Business Times reports, the new space will "use two stories of retail and a large public plaza on the west side of the arena to become Mission Bay's new hub. That complements the market hall and public park on the east side of the arena, which the designers unveiled late last year."
