TRUE STORY (R) 100 min

This well-made thriller possesses great timing, is powerfully directed and acted and is a chance to see two actors play against one another in their best work. I've never been a James Franco fan, even if he is from Palo Alto, but this time he's effective and truly creepy. Franco plays a man on the FBI's Most Wanted List accused of a horrific crime. This is equally the story of a disgraced New York Times journalist, a tough role played with honesty and fear by Jonah Hill.

The story takes place in Oregon and Montana where some people have actually told me in real life that they still have nightmares about this case. After all, it is based on a true story.

See Now: Woman In Gold, Danny Collins
