Warriors GM Bob Myers Named NBA Executive Of The Year

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Warriors general manager Bob Myers won the NBA Executive of the Year award on Friday.

In his third year at the helm, the Warriors had the NBA's best record and are top seed in the Western Conference playoffs for the first time in 39 years.

Myers received 13 of 30 first-place votes and a total of 82 points, edging out Cleveland Cavaliers' David Griffin and Mike Budenholzer of Atlanta.

Myers was a sports agent for 14 years before joining the Warriors front office in 2011. He hails from the Bay Area.
