Super Bowl 50 Teams To Practice At Stanford & San Jose State, Stay In South Bay Hotels
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) – While major festivities connected to Super Bowl 50 are in San Francisco, the players fortunate enough to play for the Lombardi Trophy next February will be practicing and staying much closer to where the game will be played.
According to the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee, the teams will be practicing on fields at San Jose State University and Stanford University during the week before the big game at Levi's Stadium.
The committee also announced Thursday that the team hotels are the San Jose Marriott in Downtown and the Santa Clara Marriott, less than a mile from the stadium.
As the teams prepare for the Super Bowl in the South Bay, two major events will take place in Downtown San Francisco. Justin Herman Plaza will be transformed into Super Bowl City. Also in Downtown, Moscone Center will host the NFL Experience, an interactive theme park.
Super Bowl 50 is set for Feburary 7th and will air in the Bay Area on KPIX 5.
