SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)– A construction worker is in critical condition after a scaffolding accident at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, Friday morning.

Fire officials say the accident happened just after 10 a.m. at the museum located at Third Street at Howard, which has been closed for its expansion.

The worker was in the elevator shaft on the 6th floor when scaffolding collapsed on him causing him to fall down the shaft.

He has been taken to San Francisco General where he is being treated for what fire officials said was injuries to his legs.
